That's how long I've been married as of today! A whole decade. That's like what, the golden anniversary in Hollywood years, right? In some ways it feels like our wedding was just yesterday and in others it feels like a lifetime ago. And I guess in a way it should, since 1/3 of my life has been spent married to this wonderful man.
Right before we left for our trip to New Mexico, Nacho was cleaning out his fanny pack - yes he uses one when we fly, I forgive him for it and I love him anyways. When we got back I went through the pile that was left on our kitchen counter and it was like a walk down memory lane. Boarding passes from when we took our Hawaii cruise right after we graduated from college. Boarding passes from our trip to Atlanta for my cousin's wedding, where we decided we were ready to start a family. Tickets to the state fair right after I learned I was pregnant with Samantha and horribly, horribly sick. All of it a memory of our life together, each one significant in our story.
We have been through so much together in the last 10 years - the birth of our 3 beautiful children, 4 moves (we're staying put now!), countless job changes, deaths of loved ones. And together we've stood by eachother, celebrated eachother, loved eachother. What a glorious life we have built together.
Nacho, today I want to thank you for loving me the way you do. For helping me build the life we have. And for celebrating that life daily. There is nobody I'd rather walk down this road of life with. Here's too many more happy anniversaries.

- This is a place to for me to rant & rave and mostly brag about my family. I try to be funny, but realize things are much funnier in my head than they are written down.I went to college to be a teacher, but after a semester of student teaching came home and told my husband (whom I married in 1999) I could teach or we could have kids. You can see what we choose! So I went to the opposite extreme and got my Business degree with an emphasis in Marketing and minor in Economics. After getting pregnant with our first child I gave up the business world and became a SAHM, which it turns out is my ultimate dream job. A short 19 months later we were blessed with another child, followed 3 years later by our 3rd. Our 4th and final baby arrived on Valentine's Day 2011. And the inevitable question - are we done? In the past I would have said I didn't know, but after a high risk 4th pregnancy and 4 perfect children, I can now say yes. We're enjoying our crazy life with two school aged daughters, one adorable little boy, and our newborn daughter, taking each day as it comes.

Our oldest daughter, Sam - age8...going on 16. She is graceful and thoughtful and equally bossy and stubborn.

Our Lu, owner of many nicknames, is 6! She is our independent, dramatic, loveable thrill-seeker.
Jonathan
Jack - our not so baby boy - who just recently celebrated his 3rd birthday. He is inquistive, snuggly, active and always ready with a smile & a hug.
Katherine
Our newest, and final member of Team Lua. Our little Valentine, who is just about 1.5, completes our family and while the "baby" of our family, fits in all this craziness like she's always been here.

Happy anniversary! Ten years certainly is a lifetime and a half by Hollywood standards. Thankfully we live hundreds of miles away from Hollywood, right? ;-)
