Some I already knew, but were re-enforced last night.
1) The girls can hang with the best of them. As a matter of fact, they stayed up as late as we did, which was 2am.
2) The baby can sleep through anything. As was evident when he didn't wake up when we had 30 people in our house, 10 of which were children blowing horns.
3) My neighbors really know how to cook! And drink! And eat! And sing! Ok, that last one, not so much.
4) On that note...me + alcohol + karaoke + camera (and video!) = not such a great idea
5) It's always a good idea to make extra food because the next day you will only have enough energy to reheat leftovers
6) I am the only one of the group I talked to today (returning stray glasses) that actually got dressed, let alone went anywhere.
7) The baby will not understand that you had a late night and will be up at his normal time. Although for some unknown reason I was wide awake at 7am. WHY?
8) I much prefer staying home. I don't like being on the roads on NYE.
9) I know I've said it before, but we really do have the best neighbors. So great, you will see me repeating it here A LOT.
9) Surrounded by my husband, my children & really good friends was a perfect way to ring in 2010! Here's hoping we have many more new years as a group (that means you can't move Nate & Brenda).
